Aiken Women’s Heart Board (“AWHB”) respects the privacy interests and preferences of persons, of our community, our sponsors, our members, our donors and all website visitors (https://www.awhb).
We are committed to full transparency in outlining what information we collect about donors and visitors, how it is used and how you can opt-out of those programs. The purpose of this terms and conditions policy is to provide you with information about the information collected through the AWHB website so that you can make informed decisions about how you use the website.

Personal contact information we collect and what we do with it:
Our website does not collect any personal information unless you voluntarily provide it to us. Any time that you provide information to our website, you are providing consent to the collection of information.

When you make a send a message through our website, make a donation, purchase a product, or subscribe to our online newsletter, Aiken Women’s Heart Board may ask you for personal contact information such as your name, mailing address, phone number and e-mail address. We may use this contact information to provide you with a receipt or financial report; to contact you to clarify or obtain additional information about an order you placed, a donation you made, or to send you additional information about AWHB.

If you make a donation, you may be contacted by us on occasion to offer you an opportunity to make another gift, or to inform you of promotions involving third-party sponsors that will directly benefit AHWB. You may also receive a personal call from a Aiken Women’s Heart Board staff member or volunteer thanking you for your donation. We do not use third party telemarketers or other outside vendors to solicit funds or otherwise communicate with our donors on our behalf. You will always have the opportunity to opt-out of future communications from us.

Personal billing information we collect and what we do with it:
In addition to personal contact information, we ask for billing information, such as your billing address and credit card number, when you make a donation or purchase a product from the Site. We use secure servers to gather and process your billing information. These secure servers are hosted by our agent, Blackbaud Merchant Services (BBMS), which is bound by our site policies. Your billing information is not shared with any other organizations, and your credit card number is not retained once your transaction has been authorized and processed.

Financial transactions and our secure servers:
All financial transactions linked to our website, specifically donations and purchases, are managed through secure and encrypted data exchange systems. All transactions use an encrypted channel, take place on secure servers and occur in real time. No financial data, such as your credit card number, is transferred via a less-secure channel, such as encrypted e-mail, for processing. Moreover, once your transaction has been completed, your credit card number is not retained. All information provided to Aiken Women’s Heart Board is transmitted using TLS (Transport Layer Security) encryption. TLS is a proven coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt, or scramble, data before you send it to us. We also protect account information by placing it on a secure portion of our Site that is only accessible by certain qualified employees. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information. If you have any questions about a particular transaction, please feel free to contact us.

Other contact information we collect and what we do with it:
The information we collect is used to send the donation notification or information you requested and/or to inform the recipient of the opportunity to subscribe to receive Aiken Women’s Heart Board updates, and / or opportunities to get involved. Such contact information is not shared with any other organizations nor is it added to any mailing list without the recipient’s explicit consent.

In addition, if you have subscribed to our email list you can opt out at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe options or by contacting our email system.

Normal browsing:
Aiken Women’s Heart Board does not collect any personally identifiable information from you when you visit our website unless you choose to provide such information to us.

You can browse the Aiken Women’s Heart Board website without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. Aiken Women’s Heart Board website and Aiken Women’s Heart Board volunteers and officers (together, “AWHB”) SMS Messaging terms and conditions (the "Terms") detail the procedure for SMS messaging in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act ("TCPA") and its implementing regulations, including the 10-digit consent requirement ("10LC").

Opting Out of SMS Messaging:
If in use: To opt out of receiving SMS messages from AWHB, simply text the word "STOP" to the number from which you received the message. By texting "STOP," you are providing your express consent to opt out of SMS messaging and Aiken Women’s Heart Board will remove your phone number from our SMS messaging system.
